The team at AeroSpace Cornwall has been supporting a wide range of businesses who are looking increase their capability in the space and aerospace sectors.  Our support is wide ranging, offering businesses large R&D grants, fully funded market research grants or business support, in order to enable them to develop their product, service or technologies in the space and aerospace sectors.

Duchy Defibrillators

Duchy Defibrillators  supply defibrillators and accessories, such as resus kits, pads & batteries within Cornwall. They are working with a UAV operator to carry out a feasibility study to review routes in Cornwall to allow Duchy to deploy drones urgently with defibrillators attached to rural and remote areas so that they can be accessed in an emergency. 

Kittiwake

“Space tech for sport” business Kittiwake Labs are aiming to improve sporting experiences through #EarthObservation; their objective is to enhance the surfing experience.

Now & Then

Start up business Now & Then, provides tools for attractions, museums, and places of interest to easily create guided tours uniquely tailored to each user, using pre-existing or new content.  The mobile app triggers via GPS or Bluetooth when near historical places of interest. The grant from AeroSpace Cornwall will monetise the app ready for launch. 

DP Engineering

Precision Engineering business, DP Engineering is a key part of the space supply chain.  In order to grow their customer base, they are being supported by AeroSpace Cornwall to gain accreditations in APQP and PPAP, which will further demonstrate their commitment to quality.

Spaced based business 4 Earth Intelligence will be using a grant to survey for Offshore renewables.

Far Out Thinking Company

RD&I business in Cornwall is using AI cameras to understand and analyse bee activity, mapping where the beehives are and where the bees fly and how this relates to crops. They will trial placing AI hives in 3 sites across Cornwall.
